Supporting the Local Community

Fleet Feet Sports Greensboro & High Point has supported the local fitness community for over 10 years giving over $10,000 each year to local charity organizations.  We are honored to to get to work with great local organizations and to create programs that support the pursuit of fitness for everyone.

Go Red for Women

In 2004, American Heart Association kicked off the Go Red For Women movement.  Most women in our country considered heart disease “an old man’s problem”—when,in fact, heart disease is the #1 killer of women, killing one out of three women, more than all kinds of cancer combined.  FLEET FEET Sports Greensboro & High Point is a proud sponsor of Go Red for Women to increase awareness of heart disease in women and promote fitness in our community.

BackPack Beginnings

BackPack Beginnings’ mission is to provide children in need with nutritious food, comfort items or certain basic necessities through the use of backpacks and other efficient means.  By ensuring food and basic necessities are given directly to children in need, we make a positive and lasting impact on their health and well-being.  Each year, Fleet Feet Greensboro and High Point puts together a destination fun run from one store location to the other called The Fleet Feet Pickle.  The run raises money and awareness for BackPack Beginnings.

Tuxedo Trot

Tuxedo Trot: Run for the Penguins is a fun, family-friendly event created to raise funds for endangered African penguins.  Owner, John Dewey, works closely with the race to promote the Natural Science Center in Greensboro and create a race that can best raise money for the Pengiuns.

Local Race Sponsorships

Each year Fleet Feet Sports Greensboro & High Point support over 60 local walking and running events.  Most of these events support local non-profit beneficiaries.  Fleet Feet Sports is proud to help Triad area fitness enthusiasts enjoy a variety of quality walking and running events.  We are glad to have supported worthy charities such as Backpack Beginnings, Declan's Foundation, Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy to name a few.
