Sprint Triathlon Training
Interested in trying a triathlon, but not quite sure where to start? Your first step is to choose an event - and a sprint is the ideal race distance. The three legs of a sprint triathlon can range from a 200-yard or meter to 1/2-mile swim, a 10 to 20 mile bike and a 2 to 3.1-mile run.
With a coach you can reach your goals and manage all of your workouts to emphasize proper technique while building endurance.
PROGRAM BEGINS JULY 8th!
This is a 10-week program that meets every Tuesday and every other Saturday to train for Belews Lake Triathlon on September 13th.
Running Your First 5K
Those first steps are always the hardest. I would always have the New Year's Resolution that this is the year I'm going to get in great shape and run a lot. And then a couple weeks later my running shoes are back in the closet. I wanted to run, but I just couldn't figure out how to stay motivated and I didn't think that I had the right body type to be a runner.
It turns out I am not the only one of my kind. There are many of us "non-runners" out there that come in all shapes and sizes. There is a whole community of "non-runners" that encourage and relate to each of us. Finding a running group is the best way to keep you honest and motivated.
