The 10K Training program is ideal for runners who have completed a 5 km distance race and are now gearing up to work on their speed and endurance for the 10 km distance. This plan is also appropriate for those wishing to maintain their fitness during the warm spring months and who want a head start on base miles for their fall half marathon. Our next program date will be set soon.
Individualized training in a group setting.Our proven program has served more than 8500 half marathoners. Over the past eight years, participants have given the program an average rating of 4.8 stars (out of five) and more than 90% have completed their goal race. Our program is appropriate for both first-timers and experienced veterans.
Experienced, professional head coaching. Our degreed and credentialed head coaches assess each participant's current fitness level and goals and ensure that they train at an appropriate level.
Our community is vast. We have a plethora of experience and abilities that both compete and complete the half marathon distance. Our experienced mentors offer support and motivation to athletes in pace groups ranging from 8:00/mile (run) to 17:00/mile (walk) and follow customized novice, intermediate, and advanced schedules.
Two weekly group workouts. Track workouts are held on Tuesday evenings and long run/walks on some of St. Louis’ best paths are hosted on Saturday mornings. (Runners in our Advanced program are also invited to a Sunday morning workout in Forest Park.)
All 10K Training participants will receive:
A professionally designed, 6-week training program, including daily workouts.
2 weekly coached group workouts. Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm at Fleet Feet High Point.
Weekly communications and support from our dedicated coaching staff.
Seminars and clinics on topics such as injury prevention, nutrition, how to dress in the ever-changing Triad weather, and cross-training.
Affiliation with our extensive team of community partners, health professionals, and service providers who offer benefits to all 10K Training team members.
Race day support and post-party.
